The short answer
A 4 m wide, 2.7 m tall wall printed on a 106.7 cm (42 inch) roll needs 4 panels, with 5 cm extra on each side and a 2 cm overlap between panels. Each panel is 106.7 cm wide and 280 cm long. At 150 pixels per inch that is about 6,300 × 16,535 pixels per panel.
How it is worked out
- (400 + 10 − 2) ÷ (106.7 − 2)
- = 3.9 → 4 panels
- Panel length: 270 + 10 = 280 cm
